Robin Berry BA (Hons) ACA Telephone: 01438 847 117 Robin joined Artaius Ltd in April 2005 as Operations Director, and was promoted to Managing Director in September 2007. After graduating from Nottingham University, Robin worked as an auditor while studying for his exams. Once he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Robin worked as an Audit Manager, handling a broad portfolio of clients including retailers, recruitment agents, film production companies, artiste management companies, software developers, metal and chemical dealers, and FSA-regulated businesses. |
Robin then changed direction, and spent three years working for a large investment property group. His role was to manage an outsource team, responsible for the group’s financial accounting and compliance. This position provided him with extensive exposure to Corporation Tax and VAT issues in relation to property transactions. Robin also performed due diligence on acquisitions, and company valuation exercises.
Robin has taken this experience of financial outsourcing into his role at Artaius, where he now focuses on both UK owner-managed businesses, and inward investment into the UK from overseas. His approach is to blend the efficient and effective recording of financial transactions, with technical accuracy and sound pro-active commercial advice.
In his spare time, Robin enjoys running, in preparation for Sunday mornings spent playing football, and Sunday afternoons recovering!

Melanie Troiano FCCA Telephone: 01438 847 105 Melanie Troiano is the Client Relationship Director at Artaius Ltd. Her role involves taking responsibility for providing on going support for existing clients and developing new client relationships both in the UK and with inward investment companies into the UK. Working across a range of clients, Melanie is a fully qualified Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Association of Accounting Technicians and has detailed knowledge of the financial functions of sporting organisations and works extensively with inward investment companies setting up in the UK. |
Melanie’s professional background is predominantly from within general public practice but has also held financial controller roles in a corporate environment.
In her spare time Melanie is a keen dancer and is heavily involved in local amateur musical theatre.

Alfred Levy Telephone: 01438 847 101 Alfred Levy was the founder and first Director of Artaius in 1997 and developed the business into its current format and size, before handing over the helm to Robin Berry in 2007. Alfred's experience since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1966 has been mainly in the profession where he has been a partner in an accountancy practice since 1972, which merged with Wilder Coe, the sister Accountancy firm of Artaius Ltd, in 1991. |
Alfred boasts a wide range of expertise in new business start ups, and has particular experience in inward investment from companies based overseas. Over the years Alfred has worked, closely with many clients in various commercial sectors.
Currently Alfred takes things a little easier. He remains a Director of Artaius, is now based in Stevenage, but tends to spend more time working with specific clients on special projects, and he also concentrates on acquiring new business from prospective clients who acknowledge the merits of outsourcing the back office functions of their businesses thus enabling them to concentrate on their core activities.

Robert Coe Telephone: 020 7616 8836 Robert serves as Non-Executive Director in his capacity as the senior and founding partner of Wilder Coe, the parent firm of Artaius Ltd. Within the practice Robert’s key role is advising on corporate finance transactions including mergers and acquisitions, pre flotation restructuring, fund raising and business financing. |
Robert has vast experience in the public arena, having acted as non executive chairman of Stirling Group plc, senior independent director of Hercules Property Services plc, finance director of Probus Estates plc, finance director of New Media plc during its transition from Ofex to AIM and finance director of Hardy Amies plc.
Currently Robert is a non executive director of Dowgate Capital Advisors, a corporate finance adviser who act as Nominated Advisors to a number of AIM listed companies.

Neil is a regular contributor to ‘Taxation’ and ‘Tax Advisor’ magazines on topical VAT issues. He is a part-time tax and accounting lecturer at Barnfield College in Luton.
He is also a member of the Investigation Committee of the Taxation Disciplinary Board, which deals with complaints against registered tax advisors.
